Privacy notice
Effective 23 August 2026
Who we are
The Dell Project.
What we collect
When you fill out our intent-to-give form, we collect only what you give us: first name, last name, email address, phone number (optional), the amount you say you intend to give, and, so we can prove you agreed, the date and time you submitted, the page address, and whether you checked the box consenting to texts. We do not collect payment card or bank information anywhere on this site. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Why we collect it
To reach you when it's time to make your gift, to send you the donation link, to acknowledge any gift you make, and to keep you informed about our work. We use your information for no other purpose.
How we contact you
We email you. We text you only if you separately checked that box. You can stop email by clicking unsubscribe in any message, and stop texts by replying STOP. We honor every opt-out request within 10 business days.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing. Mobile opt-in information and text-message consent are never shared or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We share information only with the service providers who help us operate (our web host, our form and email providers, and our database) under agreements requiring them to protect it and use it only on our behalf, and where the law requires it.
Tracking
This site runs no advertising pixels, no session recording, and no third-party analytics. We do not respond to browser Do Not Track signals because we do not track you.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to delete it, or until it is no longer needed for the purposes above, whichever comes first.
Your choices
Contact us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Residents of some states have additional rights under state privacy law; contact us and we will honor them.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS and we use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. No system is perfectly secure.
Changes
If we materially change this notice, we will post the updated version here with a new effective date.
